I am a native speaker of English and French from Montreal, Québec, Canada. I have been living in Finland since 2006 and work as an English, French and Spanish teacher. I am fully qualified as an English teacher with a Master’s in English Philology from Helsinki University and I have completed vocational and pedagogical studies at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. I have a  Bachelor’s of Music degree from McGill University.

I've always been fascinated by different languages and strive to be enthusiastic and creative. I enjoy developing new teaching methods and materials which emphasize communication skills and reflect real-life situations. I also want learning to be fun. The biggest lesson I've learned is that making students feel comfortable is the first step to encouraging them to try and develop their skills.

I'm a passionate music enthusiast and occasionally enjoy opportunities to participate in different live music performances.                 That’s me on the home page, playing bass with Acoustic Dixie 6 featuring Nina Lindroos at Storyville (Helsinki).
